The World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts today announced it will sanction the STRIKEFORCE and M-1 Global fight between undisputed WAMMA reigning heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko and undefeated challenger, Brett Rogers, which will air live on CBS on Saturday, November 7.

WAMMA has just released the updated rankings for November 2009.

"We are very fortunate to have such an extensive panel of rankers," said Falzon. "This broad contingent of contributors has established the WAMMA rankings as the most comprehensive rankings in the sport of MMA."

WAMMA has released its female fighter rankings for the month of May and Gina Carano, Tara LaRosa, Rosi Sexton, and Megumi Fujii all remain ranked number one in their respective weight classes.

Tara LaRosa, who has been ranked as WAMMA's top 135 lbs. fighter for the past three months recently joined Mike Straka of the FOX Fight Game for a one-on-one interview.

The rankings are now available in their entirety at www.GoWAMMA.com and absent from the top ten light heavyweight rankings for the first time since their inception is former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell.

The World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts announced Thursday that John Morgan has accepted an offer to serve as the interim chair of its fighter rankings committee.

But Fedor will end his hiatus from active competition in Japan on Wednesday, April 29 at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo during the third edition of the 2009 "M-1 Challenge Presented by Affliction."

Sam Caplan, recently promoted to the position of Vice President of the organization's male and female top ten fighter rankings, has been asked to serve as an interim replacement for the next three months.
